Chris Chapman
Chris Chapman PhD is the President of the Quantitative User Experience Association and Co-chair of the Quant UX Conference. He is the former President of the American Marketing Association Insights Council, and frequently speaks on research best practices at industry and university events. Previously, Chris was a Principal Industrial Design Researcher and Principal UX Researcher at Amazon (2022-2024), Google (2012-2022), and Microsoft (2000-2011).
In the choice modeling community, Chris has twice chaired the American Marketing Association’s Advanced Research Techniques Forum, was twice awarded “Best Presentation” at the Sawtooth Software Conference, and served for 10 years on that conference’s organizing committee.
He is the author of popular analytics books including Chapman & Rodden, Quantitative User Experience Research (2023, Apress); Schwarz, Chapman, & Feit, Python for Marketing Research and Analytics (2020, Springer); and Chapman & Feit, R for Marketing Research and Analytics (2nd ed, 2019, Springer). The latter book on R has been adopted as a textbook in more than 160 universities in 30 countries, and has been translated into Chinese and Japanese.
