Detailed FAQ for Annotating Receipts
This page provides details for ticket holders who need additional information on their receipts.
Quant UX Con operates worldwide but there are many different requirements for receipt information according to locations and company policies.
Some reasons to add information to your receipt include:
You need to add a business office address or home address
You need to supply company-required information such as an employee identifier or purchase order information
You need to add a VAT number
You need to add details about the purchase, such as that it is a professional development conference
In general, we recommend to save your receipt as a PDF and then annotate it with additional text. Following are more detailed instructions.
For detailed steps to to add information, the steps are:
Search your email for a message titled, "Your Quantitative User Experience Association receipt"
Save or "print" that email as a PDF file.
For example, in Gmail on a Mac, you could select the print icon in Gmail (upper right) and then "Destination | Save as PDF".
Open the PDF in a PDF viewer that allows annotation
On a Mac, this function is available in the standard Preview application. Select "Tools | Annotate | Text" to add a text box.
For Windows, use Adobe Acrobat (not Reader), or check out the other PDF tools suggested here: https://www.pcmag.com/how-to/how-to-edit-a-pdf
After adding a text box to the document, type the information you need to add
Save the PDF
